Time Table for Buds n Blooms
8:30 am – 8:45 am Teachers preparation for the Day
Teachers / Staff prepare the classroom following the Curriculum given to them for the day on day-to-day basis.
- 8:45 – 9:00 am Free Indoor / Exploring Time
- 9:00 – 9:05 am Morning Wishes (Wishes to Friends & Teacher)
- 9:05 – 9:10 am Prayer
- 9:10 – 9:30 am Rhymes Session (Warm Up Session)
- 9:30 – 10:00 am Language (Introduction of Alphabets)
- 10:00 – 10:15 am Vocabulary Skills (New Sets of Vocabulary)
- 10:15 – 10:30 am Snacks (Every Wednesday it’s a Fruit Day)
- 10:30 – 10:45 am Free Outdoor Play
- 10:45 – 11:15 am Concept / General Knowledge
- 11:15 – 11:45 am Maths
- 11:45 – 12:00 pm Music & Movement
- 12:00 – 12:20 pm Story Time
- 12:20 – 12:25 pm Packing Time
- 12:25 – 12:30 pm Going Home (Saying Bye Bye to Friends & Teacher)
8:45 am – 9:00 am Receiving the Children
Children are Welcomed to the school. The teachers greet the children and -encourage them to remove their backpacks and shoes to make themselves comfortable and then help them transition to a free play activities. We suggest that parents or caregivers only stay a few minutes to say goodbye for few days initially. Parents are encouraged to have their child arrive by 9:00 am sharp.
I – Free Indoor Play – 15 Mins.
Free play provides opportunities for learning and social interaction, self directed centers of interest are set up to allow children independently choose activities like Jig-Saw Puzzles, Dramatic Corner, Book Shelf, Club House, Pegging, Stringing Beads, Stacking Rings, Building Blocks, Play Dough, Clay Moulding that helps them separate and adjust to the beginning of the day. These activities are of great help to children in developing maniputative skills, fine motor control, and eye-hand coordination
II – Rhymes Session – 20 Mins
This session helps children explore sounds and enjoy singing, listening, moving to music. By using instruments and voices, children learn rhymes, beat and pitch. At the same time we help children to practice self-regulation, increase attention span, and develop listening skills. The children greet one another, record the weather, talk about what they would like to learn that day. We encourage children to take turns talking and listening to each other.
III – Language – 30 Mins
Language Arts is an intergral part of our curriculum. We promote a language – rich environment where children are encouraged to freely express themselves, engage in social problem solving, and ‘use their words’. Every month we take a set of letters to introduce with sound of letter, picture flash cards, real objects, songs of that set of letters which help them to recognize and remember the letter or alphabet.
IV – snacks – 15 Mins
All childrdren are served the snacks at one place. They learn to wash hands before – after snacks, Thank, Eat without spilling, using spoons and helping them to learn the table manners.
V – Concept – General knowledge – 30 Mins
The aims and purpose of this learning area in Early Years are to enable children to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding to make sense of the world. In early years children will learn – Fruits, Vegetables, Transportation, Flowers, Trees, Pet Animals, Farm animals, Wild Animals, Water Animals, Family (My family and school family seasons, parts of Body, Community Helpers.
VI – Math – 30 Mins
Math activities expose children to numerical concept such as counting, sorting, pattern making, comparing and ordering, looking at shapres, measures and colours, and grouping objects into sets. Heand – -on – experiements encourage the understanding of mathematical concept.
VII – Music & Movement – 15 Mins
Music will be played and children are encouraged to do actions, moving body and dancing to the music (rhymes)
VIII Story Time – 20 Mins
Monthly 2 new stories will be told to children. The stories are of book stories, fennel board stories, stick puppet stories, hand gloves stories which the children like and enjoy most and improves the listening span in children
IX – Free Out Door Play – 15 MinsIX – Free Out Door Play – 15 Mins
We use the play area outside the preschool every day before the children go homes. Children develop their large motor and social skills during outside play. A climbing structure, swings, sliding board, rocker, balls, scooters and a child sized playhouse are included in the playground equipments.
X- Packing time – 5 Mins
After the Free Play children come inside their respective classes to pickup their backpacks and get ready with shoes worn.
